Why do I need an App Password?

App passwords are special passwords that let apps access your email without using your main password. This is:

  1. More secure - Your main password stays secret
  2. Required by Google/Microsoft - They don't allow regular passwords for apps
  3. Revocable - You can delete the app password anytime without changing your main password
How do I know if my account is working?

After you add an account, we automatically send a test email FROM that account TO your personal email.

  1. If you receive the test email, your account is working!
  2. The email will show "Account Working" with a green checkmark
  3. Your account status will change to "Active"

If you don't receive the test email within a few minutes, check your spam folder or try adding the account again with the correct app password.
